This moment was prepared for me.
You know there’s a promise in the Good Book to anyone who is willing to believe it. God promises that He will bless us above and beyond anything that we can think or imagine.
How many of us truly believe this? If we do then we’ll start to see patterns in our lives. Moments in which we’re faced with a decision to do something that makes us feel very uncomfortable. (Oh my gosh, I should talk to that person, take this opportunity, say yes, say no, whatever ever the situation may be…)
Are we expecting God to work by mighty miracles only? For our lives to develop into something that is abundantly above anything we can ask or imagine don’t you think that it will start with moment by moment decisions to take the opportunity that God is presenting to us, regardless of our fears?
When we talk ourselves out of taking action we’re choosing to believe in our own perceived limitations instead of in God and His power. “I’m not dressed right,” “They’ll say no, or laugh at me”, “I’ll probably get hurt, lose money, or get lost” – just fill in your own self-centered lame excuse here and think about what a rip off it is to bow down to our own negative self-talk instead of grabbing the opportunity that God has orchestrated to bless us.
Next time you get that feeling, you know the one, that you should really do this super intimidating thing… say to yourself, “Yes! God prepared THIS moment for me, I CAN, and WILL do it!”
God continually prepares opportunity. It’s up to us to believe in Him instead of our fears.
